Burke Women's Fund

Operating under the auspices of the Community Foundation of Burke County, the Burke Women's Fund was created in 2009 by a group of 15 women. The Burke Women's Fund aspires to connect all parts of our community and to bring a diverse group of women together around substantive issues relating to women and families.

Sponsorship:

The vision of the Burke Women's Fund is to:

• advance the power of collective giving among Burke County women
• empower women in meaningful and purposeful ways
• gain a deeper understanding of the issues that affect women and families in our community
• provide impactful financial support which improves the quality of life for all

Membership options includes:

• $365 a year - a dollar a day - for three years with $300 of that amount going to grants, $35 to the permanent endowment and $30 to operations
• $150 a year for three years - for those who are 35 and younger with $10 of that amount going to the permanent endowment
• Annual renewal after completion of the initial three year payment

Membership includes:

• a vote on prospective grant recipients
• an annual gathering to honor grant recipients and members
• an invitation to local educational opportunities sponsored by the Burke Women's Fund
• an invitation to Special Events sponsored by the Burke Women's Fund

General Grant Program:
